In this one-day Patchwork Kicks sneaker class, Donna will guide you through the process of creating fabric sneakers using your own fabric choices. She will demonstrate each step, explain techniques as you go, and provide hands-on support throughout the day.
This class focuses on learning proper construction, working with specialty tools, and building confidence with a unique project. You’ll gain a solid understanding of the process while enjoying a relaxed, supportive classroom environment.
If you enjoy learning new skills and want to try something a little different, this class is a fun and rewarding way to spend the day.
Class Details
Location: Donna’s Quilting Respite (3008 Barron Rd, College Station, TX 77845)
Schedule: Classes available by request- flexible to fit your calendar
Duration: One-Day Class: (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Skill Level: Beginner Friendly(Perfect for new sewists or anyone wanting to refresh their machine skills.)
Cost: $60 USD (Includes Donna’s professional instruction only. Bring your own materials and tools, or purchase them from our store before class.)

Supply List:
This class will be taught using the Patchwork Kicks Kit. Each student may bring their own kit or purchase one in-store prior to the start of class.
What’s Included in the Patchwork Kicks Kit:
• Patchwork Kicks sneaker pattern & all-inclusive basic instructions
• Sneaker outer sole set
• Sneaker inner sole set
• Double-sided fusible foam (15" x 21")
• Waxed thread
• 5mm eyelets
• Shoelaces (50" or longer)
• Sewing awl
• Eyelet installation tools
Fabric Requirements (not included in the kit):
• 1 Fat Quarter – Outside of sneaker wraps & tongues
• 1 Fat Quarter – Inside lining of sneaker wraps & tongues
• 1 Fat Quarter – Bias binding for top of wraps & outer edge of tongues
Required Supplies & Tools
• Sewing machine (machines available to rent at $10/day)
• Universal sewing machine needle
• Patchwork or quilting pins
• Fabric marking pen or chalk
• Scissors or rotary cutter
• Iron & ironing board
• Hammer (used with eyelet tools)
All supplies, patterns, and tools may be purchased in-store. You are welcome to bring your own if you already have them.
A Note From Donna
This class can feel a little daunting when you first look at it and that’s completely normal. There are a few new techniques and tools involved, but I’ll walk you through everything step by step.
My goal is for you to feel comfortable, supported, and confident as you work through the process. There’s no pressure, no rushing, and no “wrong” questions here. We’ll take our time, learn together, and enjoy the day.
By the end of class, you’ll not only have made great progress on your sneakers, but you’ll also feel proud of what you’ve learned and excited to keep going.

Are supplies included?• No. The $60 class fee covers instruction only. Supplies must be purchased separately.
Can I buy supplies at the shop?
• Yes. All required supplies, patterns, and tools are available for purchase in-store.
Do I need to finish the project in class?
• Not necessarily. The focus is learning the process so you can confidently finish at home.
What is the cancellation policy?
• Cancel 1 week or more before class → full refund
• Cancel less than 1 week before class → store credit only
